Billbergia 'Muriel Waterman' is a cross of horrida v. tigrina X euphemiae v. purpurea. Subtle warm golden coloring with . Rich plum-wine maroon heavily knuckled open rosette with vivid silvery scurfing and banding. Large nodding Inflorescence with many dull rose-pink bracts and steel blue flowers. Several slightly different Cultivars of this Mulford Foster Hybrid exist but all suffer when fertilized or grown in low light conditions. Excellent form and a very reasonable price tag make this an excellent choice for the landscape in subtropical gardens. Averages 14" -18" tall.
