Aechmea 'Fredricke' is a very shapely Cultivar of 'Fascini' which is a cross of chantinii X fasciata.It's most noteworthy feature, after it's beautiful Inflorescence that is, is it's complete lack of spines!That's right, NO NASTY SPINES!Leaves are a beautiful light yellow-green with an upright shape, very full leaf structure and very beautiful Inflorescence with the bright pink color coming from the fasciata parent. Inflorescence can last for months and does well as an indoor plant when in bloom and has thornless leaves. Another plant that is excellent in the landscape. This Aechmea Species grows quite LARGE and typically attains sizes of up to 24" tall.
