Aechmea blanchetiana 'Red Raspberry' is a very red Cultivar of blanchetiana. This Cultivar can go through lots of color changes during the maturing process, but when you stress them by withholding fertilizer, and growing them in sufficient amounts of bright sun, they will reward you with a vibrant red raspberry color. They are typically a little smaller than the orange variety with a somewhat narrower leaf. They are still quite capable of attaining heights in excess of 36 inches at maturity.
