Aechmea Athena is a Hybrid cross of Aechmea tessmanii 'Rubra' x Aechmea zebrina 'Pink'. It is a cross that is Exclusive to Bromeliad Paradise. Beautiful green to lime-green in overall leaf color blusing to a lovely red in intense light.The undersides of the leaves are absolutely frosty red with frosty white banding. It also provides an Inflorescence that is absolutely stunning with combination of colors. A most pleasing plant that is excellent as a feature plant. Attains sizes of up to 24" high and 24" wide.
