Neoregelia 'Red Wave' is an unusual combination of shape, markings and color. Definite hints of zonata, but much larger and much redder. This seems at first to be more in the shape a small or mid sized Neo but at up to 18" across and 14" tall it grows surprisingly larger than it first appears. Very hardy and very sun tolerant, 'Red can also be successfully used in the tropical or subtropical landscape.
