Neoregelia carcharodon 'Silver',is another magnificent Cultivar introduced by Charles Skotak, this stunning beauty his highly sought after because of it's spectacular appearance at maturity. It is very tough with leaves that are silver over light green. Makes a very stunning display in the landscape and is very prolific. Prefers intense sun light for best color.
Found at the base of rocks above a rubbish dump in Santa Maria Magdalena, RJ, Brazil (along with carcharodon 'Rainbow' Giant, Leopard, and 'Silver', this specimen can become a "GIANT NEOREGELIA" attaining mature sizes of up to 24" to 28" across.
