Introduced by Sam Smith, 'Sampson' is one of the most stunning landscape centerpieces in the Bromeliad Kingdom! This bigeneric attracts immediate attention whenever anyone visits the nursery. It is very large like it's parent Androlepis skinneri but instead of an orange-red color, 'Sampson' sports a deep burgundy that is as intense as a fine burgundy wine. It needs full sun for best color and can reach an enormous size! Its average width ranges from 36" - 48" with an average height of 36" - 48" with Inflorescence. Very rarely offered, very rarely seen for sale anywhere.
