xNeomea 'Hera' is a cross of Aechmea chantnii 'Pink Goddess' x Neoregelia 'Petra'. It was altogether fitting to name this cross after a Greek Goddess based on the plants lineage. 'Hera' was a Greek Goddess and the Queen of the Olympian Goddesses and Goddess of marriage. This unusual Bi-generic truly has the the best traits of each parent. This cross is unique to Bromeliad Paradise and is available in a very limited release. A very stout upright posture like it's Aechmea chantinii parent with the strong, deep, dark overall red coloring of it's Neoregelia parent. Can grow up to 20" high and 18" across.
