Aechmea alopecurus is a Species endemic to Brazil, known only from the States of Bahia and Minas Gerais. A green to light green plant that can blush from pink to almost red when grown in enough sunlight. Grown mostly for it's showy foliage, the Inflorescence is rather nondescript. Excellent in the landscape. Averages 28" -36" across and 28" -30" tall at maturity.
