Billbergia 'Darth Vader' is a highly sought after cross of 'La Noche' x 'Domingos Martins' that is sought after for its almost black background, silver banding, and very attractive blotches that it inherited from its 'Domingos Martins' parent. Introduced by Lisa Vinzant, it has a very tubular growth habit that can grow up to 18" tall and has a green spike with purple flowers when in bloom. 'Darth Vader' should be potted or planted outdoors in fast draining soil in an area large enough to allow it to cluster.
