Tillandsia straminea 'Apurimac' is a unique form of this wonderful species that comes from the arid coastal regions of Peru. This form can grow to several feet in length with an inflorescence that stretches to another foot in length. The beautiful purple flowers are mildly fragrant making this one of the few Tillandsia species that have this trait. Light misting's and adequate lighting are all that is needed to keep this wonderful species hydrated and happy.
