Tillandsia seleriana is a most desirable species endemic to Southern Mexico and Central America. It is from predominantly drier habitats and is especially known for its long curly leaves that become even more curly as it becomes drier and in need of a good watering. Its thick pastel grey green leaves are very attractive essentially when mounted on a [piece of drift wood. Although a somewhat slow grower, it is capable of attaining quite large sizes up to 6" - 8" across with leaves that can stretch to 12" or more. The inflorescence can be quite attractive as well featuring a thick stock with red bracts.
