Aechmea chantinii

Aechmea chantinii is one of the most desirable Species in the Aechmea family, with its bright green leaves contrasting with intense frosted banding. This plant can grow to very large sizes of up to 24" - 30" tall and 18" wide. Chantinii is often used in landscapes here in South Florida as it can be acclimatized into locations receiving full sun for part of the day. As this plant comes from very tropical habitat, it is more sensitive to cold than most Aechmeas.
