Aechmea 'Captain Mike' is an unregistered Hybrid of unknown parentage. This plant is seen mostly in southeast Florida and is quite highly prized due to it's beautiful splashes of deep purple around the leaf bases as well as on the leaf surfaces and leaf tips. A most pleasing plant that is excellent in the landscape. Attains sizes of up to 20" high and 30" wide.
