Aechmea mexicana 'Albo Marginata' is a spectacular cultivar of the species. Originally acquired from Europe, this spectacular sport makes for a stunning landscape specimen n tropical and subtropical climates. Either in the ground or in a pot, its gorgeous light green leaves with cream colored leaf margins will sometimes also acquire a pinkish-red blush. A very large but slow grower, it will reach 30" tall and 36" across at maturity. Its inflorescence consists of a rather medium stock of white berries.
