Neoregelia 'Alley Cat'

Neoregelia 'Alley Cat' is attributed to Grace Goode as either a punctatissima cultivar or hybrid of punctatissima and an unknown mate. I personally lean towards the hybrid theory. It has a light green to yellow leaves with deep maroon zonation that tends to be deeper and more widespread than punctatissima. It averages 6" across and is very prolific. Prefers medium to strong filtered light for best color. In order to bring out the most intense yellow leaf coloring, it is recommended that more intense filtered sunlight is provided along with minimum nitrogen fertilizer.
