Neoregelia 'Grande' cv. 'Fantastic Gardens' is a Hybrid whose seeds originated with Walter Richter in Germany. It is believed that this batch of seeds was shared with Mr. Takamura in Japan and the seedlings eventually shared with Hazel Quilhot who then shared the plants with Fantastic Gardens in Florida. Confused? Don't be. From around the world came a plant that is so spectacular that it is still a legend today. This Neo Takamura Hybrid is both huge, and spectacular, ranging in color from pinks to olive-bronze to maroon-black. This specimen can become a "GIANT NEOREGELIA" attaining mature sizes of up to 24" to over 30" across.
