As it's name, Neoregelia carcharodon 'Rainbow', implies, This Cultivar of carcharodon sports both beautiful very light spotting and banding on the leaf surfaces. The intense blood red-orange blushing grows more intense with intense sun light. What also distinguishes this beauty is the very shiny leaf surfaces which makes the plant stand out even more. Found at the base of rocks above a rubbish dump in Santa Maria Magdalena, RJ, Brazil (along with carcharodon Giant, Leopard, and 'Silver', this specimen can become a "GIANT NEOREGELIA" attaining mature sizes of up to 24" to 28" across.
