Neoregelia 'Big Blue' Variegated is a colorful example of a cross with a whimsical name that one must think that an inside joke was involved. Why? Because try as you might, you will have a hard time ever discerning even a hint of blue on this mysterious cross. None the less, it is a very highly desirable plant with a very colorful red blush and wispy concentric rings across most of the leaf surface. This specimen can become a "GIANT NEOREGELIA" attaining mature sizes of up to 24" to 28" across. Can become a deep red overall with more intense lighting.
