Aechmea nudicaulis is a species endemic to Central America, the West Indies, and Southern Mexico. Grown mostly for it's elegant shape and very beautiful inflorescence, this old favorite is also known for it's excellent use as a landscape plant in the tropics and sub tropics. A great 'clumper' as well as very hardy, this plant can also tolerate a great deal of direct sunlight. A medium grower averaging 14"tall at maturity.
