Aechmea 'Rakate' is a cross of (fulgens var. discolor x nudicaulis). An older Hybrid from Germany that has remained popular due to the impressive color combinations. Along with deep maroon mottled foliage, it also has a very showy red under leaf coloration. A very attractive Hybrid whether grown in pots or in a hanging basket. Attains sizes of up to 18" high and 18" wide.
