Androlaechmea 'Dean' is a cross of Androlepis skinneri x Aechmea mariae-reginae. This giant bi generic is the king of giant landscape centerpieces. The color is an unusual blending of fire red and bright green. This incredible cross gets its shape from Androlepis skinneri but seems to get even larger and fuller than this parent. . It prefers vert strong filtered light with just enough sun to bring out the red hues but can be adapted to full sun environments. It makes a great landscape plant or can be grown in a large pot.
