Aechmea fasciata 'Variegated'

Aechmea fasciata 'Variegated' is a most beautiful variegated cultivar of the species fasciata. Fasciata is especially prized for it's upright blue-green vase and it's incredibly beautiful and long lasting pink and blue inflorescence. Add to this. a striking creme colored stripe running down the center of the leaves and you have something extra special. Growing a little slower than it's non variegated cousin, these select plants are scarcer and much more prized than the more common species. Needing strong filtered light to be at its optimum beauty, this cultivar averages about 18" tall and 16" wide at maturity.
