Aechmea 'Coppertone'

Aechmea 'Coppertone' is listed in the registry as a probable cross of lueddemanniana x weilbachii. This is a quite stunning hybrid with a deep copper-red color that grows more intense towards the center of the rosette. While the inflorescence is not spectacular, it is non the less quite attractive with its purple looking berries. This one can get large averaging 30" tall and 30" wide.
